1. Is this a Charity organization?
No. HandKnitCrafts.com is a business owned and operated by a group of physically disabled entrepreneurs living in the Stara Zagora Home for the Handicapped.
2. What level of quality can I expect in these products?
These women learned to knit and crochet in the traditional Bulgarian style as young girls in their villages. They are craftswomen who take an enormous amount of pride in their work. Each piece is a custom made hand knit product reflecting the very highest levels of skill. Each piece will be quality checked, prior to shipment, by at least two women.
3. How does the ordering process work?
You select the items you wish to purchase from the website and pay for them with a credit card. We will begin knitting your item(s) upon receipt of your order and your credit card will be charged within 48 hours. Based upon the specific item(s) ordered, it may be between 7 and 21 days before they are ready for shipment. However, upon receipt of your order, we will send you an email confirmation which will include a scheduled shipping date and which artisan is creating your selected items.
4. How long does it take to knit my item?
Typically, our completion time is 14 to 21 days from receipt of order to shipment.
However, some of the larger products such as the heavy Winter coats may take slightly longer. In any case, you will be given a shipment date when we receive your order.
5. How do I pay for the products I want to buy?
2CheckOut.com Inc. (Ohio, USA) is an authorized retailer for goods and services provided by HandKnitCrafts.com. Our Payment page will give you a full description of each option and directions for their use.
7. What happens if I’m dissatisfied with the product after I receive it?
HandKnitCrafts.com guarantees every piece of work we do. If you are unhappy with the product you’ve purchased, you may return it within 7 days of receipt for a full refund less shipping costs.
8. Can I ‘customize’ my order?
Because we make each item to order, we have the ability to make some alterations to meet your specific requests. Please indicate your sizes on the order form and make any special requests in the "Custom Colors and Requests" box. Then click on the "Order" button to proceed. We will advise you of our ability to meet your requirements.
